A wired Security System is a closed network of sensors, with a continuous electronic signal streaming through the network. Wireless signals are sent to the control panel when an intruder breaks in. Wireless equipment can be very solid or very weak, depending on the manufacturer and their specifications. It is up to the company and the technicians to decide the best course between wired and wireless equipment. It is a good practice to usewired equipment primarily, and wireless as a secondary option.
